James C. and Virgina A. Moore at the opening of their exhibit, "Artistically Together" held at the Orange Hall Loft Gallery at SUNY-Orange in July and August of 2008
Jim has been artistically inclined since early childhood. He is an accomplished award winning artist who specializes in acrylics.
Ginny is an assistant professor at SUNY-Orange where she teaches in the Department of Science, Mathematics and Architecture. This year her teaching load includes Applied Physics, Acoustics, and Physical Science-The Environment
In 1997 after the death of Ginny's father, Jim decided she "needed something" so he announced he was going to teach her how to paint and draw. After much protesting from Ginny that the art involved the wrong side of the brain, Jim succeeded.
Ginny is now an accomplished photographer and painter who has shown her work at SUNY-Orange, The Lycium, The Brotherhood Winery and other venues.
The results of Jim's success in bringing out the artist in Ginny are shown on this site.
